Hi! My name’s Elise and I’m the brains (and stomach!) behind the BARE. operation. I’m so glad you found your way here and hope you enjoy your visit. I’ve recently graduated from a Masters in Health Economics and I’m a huge advocate for enjoying the simplicity of life through food, mindful and intentional living and celebrating the everyday.

In a world of overstimulation and oversharing, many of us feel inadequate or insufficient. Through my blog posts and thoughts, I want to inspire you to find your own balance. I believe in eating for health and pleasure, exercising for health and pleasure and generally reclaiming power of your daily choices.

Stress, antibiotics and eating inadequately for my needs destroyed my gut 5 years ago. I’ve been on a journey ever since to rebuild and solidify my imbalance – despite trying and failing a lot. I’ve grown a lot since then, and have a lot to share!

I believe health is physical and mental, and a state of consciousness that encourages us to tweak our daily actions from one period of our lives to the next. What was right for me five years ago isn’t working out anymore, and this likely applies to many of us. And I’m all about enjoying the process!
